Sun City Seniors Discover Amazing Aging

Snow birds returning from their summer homes flocked to renew their friendships at the "Pink Ribbon" golf event during the 2011-2012 South Golf Course League season.   Many senior women overcame their breast cancer diagnoses and surgeries to not only search for a disease cure, but to restore their own physical and mental health by making new friends on the golf course. Over $2000 was collected for the Susan G. Komen endowment at the Pink Ribbon.  Among dozens of  "Silent Auction" items donated that day,  I placed a certificate for a presentation of "The Legacy of Lasting Friendship," the humorous 35 minute program that Mary Huntley and I have developed based on quotations from Amazing Attributes of Aging; silly and Sacred Stories of Blue Garter Friends.

Our program resonated in Sun City.  Beginning with the delightful audience of  "Artistic Weavers and Spinners, we continued to bring friends together to reminisce at the Bell Library forum, and the Bell Recreation Center Fun Day.

Up-coming "Legacy of Lasting Friendships" bookings in Sun City include:
The Faith Presbyterian Luncheon  - November 15, 2012
